What does the role involve?

We need a paralegal to join the Real Estate team in Norwich. We are looking for someone who is able to undertake a broad range of work as an integral part of the Real Estate team, which will include managing your own smaller transactions and dealing with clients with close supervision and guidance, as well as supporting the team delivering larger transactions, which may be cross office and multi – discipline.

 

The tasks to be undertaken include:

 

  • development work (excluding construction) with a specific emphasis on large scale residential led projects

  • general property management including:-

  • deeds of variations to leases and transfers

  • licences for alterations

  • wayleaves

  • deeds of easement

  • substation transfers and leases

  • statutory highway agreements property due diligence

  • support in connection with high value and complex affordable housing transactions

 

Client base

The client base will be national and international housing developers

What experience is required?

We would be pleased to receive applications from paralegals with experience in commercial and/or residential real estate work gained in a large regional or City law firm.

 

What skills and attributes would I need?

  • Ideally have experience in commercial property and prior work experience as a paralegal

  • Good academics minimum 2:2 degree and 3 A levels grade C or above (or equivalents)

  • Good document management skills and organisation.

  • Excellent written English and ability to produce clear, logical drafting.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Good time and paper management skills.

  • Ability to work to deadlines with commitment and enthusiasm

  • Ability to build relationships with clients, potential clients and multipliers.

  • Listening and questioning skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and team skills.

  • Good IT skills.
