A full-time permanent role based in Cambridge, Birmingham or Norwich with occasional travel to other offices and flexibility to work from home for up to 50% of time

The role

Reporting to the firm’s Head of Pricing, this is a newly created role in our Pricing team to support the Firm and our National Service Lines (NSLs) and sectors, achieve the 2025 strategy to be a leader in client experience and drive profitable growth.

The Pricing Administrator will be responsible for ensuring all charging arrangements agreed with our clients are correctly recorded on our systems, proactively monitoring for changes and providing relevant information to the business as required. The role has a focus on ensuring all charge rates are correctly recorded.

The person

This role requires someone who has experience of working in a high performing finance team and a proven track record of delivering excellent internal client service and providing day to day finance support.  It is likely that your background and experience will include the following areas of expertise:

  • Previous experience in a finance or similar role, ideally in a law or other professional services firm.

  • High level of numerical and computer literacy.  Excellent MS Excel skills, with the desire to continually improve them.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • A commercial outlook

  • Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of financial systems (ideally 3E)

The activities

  • Responsible for supporting your key stakeholders

  • Working with relevant Client Relationship Partners (and their Executive Support Staff) to understand and record pricing arrangements agreed with our clients.

  • Monitoring existing pricing arrangements for renewal dates etc and providing proactive support and insight to ensure relevant discussions are held in a timely fashion.

  • Providing pricing analysis for regular reporting, as well as ad hoc reporting and other analysis as required.

  • Be the first point of contact for the business in dealing with charge rate queries and changes.

  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, to include the Financial Controller, CFO, Commercial Managers, Head of Pricing, Finance Systems Manager and others within the business.

  • Provide support to the business to ensure the annual standard charge rate review process is completed efficiently

  • Work with other members of the Pricing team, and wider finance team, to offer a complete service to the business in respect of charging arrangements agreed with clients.

  • Become an expert to fully exploit the charging capabilities within the 3E system and understand how that can be applied to specific clients.

  • Using the system and tools that we have within the business, whilst fully embracing any developments, to identify business trends, gap analysis or other data requests.

Other responsibilities

  • Ensure you develop a sound knowledge of key finance systems

  • Perform other work as necessary to assist in meeting firm objectives as delegated by the FC, Head of Pricing and CFO.
