Digital and Knowledge Management Team, Cambridge, Permanent, Part time

The role

We are looking for an Intranet Manager to work within the Digital and Knowledge Management team. This is a great opportunity to work in an experienced, friendly and expanding team with a pivotal role in the success of Mills & Reeve’s new SharePoint intranet.

Reporting to the Head of Knowledge Management and Digital you will be a valued team member and be supported by experienced colleagues.  You will work with and support lawyers and all business support teams across the firm.

There will be opportunities to work in the firm’s other offices from time to time.

The person

To be successful in the role good knowledge and experience of working with Microsoft applications is essential including, in particular, experience managing SharePoint sites and working in the MS 365 suite (e.g. OneDrive, Teams, Lists etc) as well as the MS Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint etc).

  • You will be well organised and methodical in your approach to your work.  You will be self motivated, proactive and think ahead
  • You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and will enjoy working with others. You will have confidence to work with colleagues at all levels of the business and be able to build good and sustainable relationships with your colleagues
  • You will be able to manage your own priorities and delegate to others in the team when appropriate, as well as be directed by the intranet steering group and other senior colleagues on strategy and direction of travel for the intranet. You will be happy to seek assistance for yourself when you need it and ask questions for clarity
  • You will need to have excellent attention to detail, be keen to provide a high standard of service, and be willing to take on new responsibilities and challenges. You will have an aptitude for learning new skills
  • Experience working with Power Automate or Tygraph or the Atlas intranet platform would be a great advantage but not essential

Given the challenges of this role, it is likely that your background and experience will include:

  • strong and accurate communication skills
  • ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
  • a flexible approach to work and ability to juggle multiple and sometimes changing priorities
