A permanent, full time role based in any of our regional offices.

The role

We’re looking for someone eager to take their first steps into the exciting world of internal communications. This role sits within our growing, award-winning communications team. You’ll help to produce and deliver engaging internal content and campaigns across the firm.

The role reports into the senior internal communications executive. You’d be expected to work in the office 50% of the time as per our hybrid working arrangements.

The activities:

  • Co-ordinate and write content for weekly all staff emails updating progress on firm’s strategy

  • Assist with creating the content for the managing partner’s quarterly staff briefing updates

  • Write and approve content for the staff intranet news feed and take responsibility for updating the Intranet homepage to boost engagement

  • Plan and produce short in-house video updates across the firm

  • Support the exploration and implementation of different internal communications channels

  • Support the team to keep the firm abreast of latest news, projects and information using the appropriate channels

  • Work with the diversity, inclusion & wellbeing team to support the firm networks (Ability, Parents & Carers, REACH, Spectrum and Balance) in their communications across the firm

  • Monitor materials for adherence to the firm’s brand guidelines and house style

  • Assist the business development team with compiling and creating office newsletters

  • Support the wider comms team to ensure the firm’s brand is communicated effectively and consistently

  • Develop marketing collateral including animated slides and branded documents, in house using a wide range of software from Canva to Adobe cloud suite

  • Find ways to continuously improve internal communications engagement

  • Assist with the regular production of newsletters, videos and internal communications copy as required

  • Support the wider communications team with ad hoc external marketing activities when needed

  • Track and create content relating to different awareness days, religious holidays etc…

The person

Given the requirements of this role, it’s likely that your background and experience will be:

  • Educated to degree level (desirable)

  • Computer and digital literacy

  • Excellent level of written English

  • A great writer with an eye for detail

  • A good team player

  • Skills at building and maintaining professional relationships

  • A calm, methodical and analytical approach to work, with the ability to prioritise and handle large volumes of detailed work

  • Highly confident with a strong work ethic

  • Experience of using Canva, InDesign or similar design tools

  • Interest in copywriting

  • Able to bring creativity to internal campaigns

  • Excellent communication skills and able to communicate confidently and effectively, in writing and verbally, at all levels

The role also requires someone who:

  • Has a particular interest in creating effective and interesting internal communications. With additional passion for diversity, inclusion & wellbeing and responsible business (ESG)

  • Ideally has some experience of video editing and producing podcasts
