The role 

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Associate to join the team on a full time, permanent basis. This role will have as its primary focus being professional indemnity claims against construction professionals including architects, surveyors, engineers, and design and build contractors.

The role will encompass providing a wide range of general and specialist insurance coverage and claims defence advice to the London market. It will require excellent knowledge of insurance policy wordings and some general knowledge of the London insurance market and Lloyds regulatory issues.

The work will require familiarity with construction appointment documents, collateral warranties and the JCT and other standard contract documentation.

 

The team

You will primarily work with partner Nicolas Oldham and Principal Associate Adele Evans out of the London Office, but also other partners within the wider Insurance Disputes Partner group. The London based construction team consists of three Principal Associates, two Senior Associates and up to four Associates. The London based construction team is headed up by Nicolas Oldham. Nicolas is part of a wider London Insurance disputes team of five Partners and around twenty other Lawyers. The London team is itself part of a firm-wide Insurance Disputes NSL, which is headed up by Niall Innes.
